The 2019 the Round the Island Race will be held on Saturday 29 June.

When: – 29th June 2019 – our charter will run from 4pm on Thursday 27th to 5pm on Sunday the 30th

Where : Port Hamble – home of Fairview yachting

Cost: circa £500 including charter, entry fee and a boat kitty (8 people)

Crew size : we are looking for a minimum of 7 people plus a skipper for a 38ft boat – if we get a larger number of participants then we would look to charter a 2nd boat as we have done in the past

What to do next: Notify the event co-ordinator – Andrew Hemfrey – (07766 162233) and send a £100 deposit to the BTOSC account

So, if you want to make sure of a berth on this event, get in quick and transfer £100 to the Club Account ASAP and then let Roy Cullers (Treasurer) and Andrew Hemfrey (Event Manager) know you have done this. It is always good to have volunteers to assist or take the lead with the organisation of this event. It is not too onerous and there are others who can help/ advise. (4) Reserving berth in Cowes (5) Registering for Race (6) Booking restaurants (7) Helping to fill any last minute gaps in crew (8) Victualling (9) Writing a post- event report / article (10) Co-ordination of 1-9.
